Adrenal Weight Loss- Does Cylapril Work?

Cylapril - Does Cylapril work?

26  11 2008

Looking for serious answers only… I had my (R) adrenal gland removed last year and now I can't loose weight

I've never had a problem with wieght loss before this surgery. I have put on 50 extra pounds and it's very depressing. My energy level has dropped significantly.I don't eat a lot during the day, but at night I gorge. The next morning I feel so guilty, I promise myself "Tonight, I'm not going to eat anything after 6p.m." and I always blow it. I've tried weight watchers and it didn't work so good for me. I'm lost on what to do, and I want to know if your adrienal gland has anything to do with weight gain, and if so how can I fix this problem. Thank you.

adrenals secrete
(1) adrenalin
(2) steroids
(3) testosterone
(4) aldosterone

so in wieght issue i would say steroids and aldosterone are very important because they cause significant wieght gain but u said they removed the gland so steroid is less in ur body
the question now
are u on any type of replacement therapy??
i mean steroid supplements

  1. ya the adrenal glands have some effect on the metabolism.and only when their levels increase ther may be a rise in weight and in your case there is reduced cortisol levels…and what i guess is that to compensate the removal of the rt gland yoour doctor would have prescribed some additional steroids…you should have mentioned your post op drugs…any how consult yoour doctor and check your serum hormones level
and you can increase fibers in your diet….havin divided small frequent meals may be helpful…adding up fibers may impfove satiety and may reduce the lipid absorbtion
